In pieces with Open Form the performer has to make a lot of choices and dicisions that traditionally the composer has done.This way unnecessary limitations and blocks disappears and the true interpreter is allowed to work!

The interpreter of an Open Form piece needs other methods and techniques that are traditionally offered in the classical training systems around the world, hence the completely different challenges in addition to the traditional interpreter´s work.

In a traditional classical piece, like Shubert or Beethoven, me as an interpreter have to express and manifest the picture of a rose as the composer has given it to me. In pices with Open Form I get only the seed. I have no indications for what might grow out of it!
